WASHINGTON — Vice President Joe Biden was caught in another awkward moment and it’s gone viral on social media.

It happened Tuesday at the White House as Ashton Carter was sworn in as the new Secretary of Defense.

Biden called up Carter’s wife, Stephanie,  and put both of his hands on her shoulders.

Carter was talking at the podium and didn’t seem to notice, then Biden appeared to whisper something in her ear.

No word on what he said to Stephanie Carter,  but he is known to whisper words of encouragement to people who get nervous in front of the cameras.

Later that day,  the Vice President then had another gaffe when he hosted a White House summit on violent extremism.  They were discussing the radicalization of Somali youth.

Biden tried to draw a parallel about between  Minneapolis and his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.

“I might add, if you ever come to the train station you may notice that I have great relations with them, because an awful lot of them are driving cabs, and are friends of mine,” Biden said.
