Mary E. O’Connor


Mary O’Connor is the incumbent alderman of Chicago’s 41st Ward. Since being elected in 2008, she has worked to secure investments in the community’s schools, parks and infrastructure. After earning a business degree from Eastern University, O’Connor became an entrepreneur, starting Unforgettable Edibles Catering and O’Connor’s Market and Deli, a small business that still operates in the Edison Park community.


Joe Lomanto


Joe Lomanto has lived in the 41st Ward for 20 years. He is the owner of a small chain of Ace Hardware stores, both located in Chicago. He values community input and pledges to work tirelessly on schools, pensions and airport noise. He is currently chairman of the finance committee at Resurrection Catholic Church and a supporter of the East Lakeview Neighbors and Sheridan Triangle Garden.


Anthony V. Napolitano


Anthony Napolitano is a Chicago firefighter who lives in Edison Park. He says he will be a visible and active public servant if elected. Napolitano says he would work to ensure the community receives its fair share of tax revenues. Other priorities include improving schools and advocating for the expansion of family and senior programs. He opposes property tax increases and would establish a neighborhood participatory budget process.
