MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Google has taken out on a patent on what you might call a digital deodorant.

The device could theoretically determine if you're giving off an odor, or exerting yourself, then send out a pleasant fragrance to cover up your own.

It's described as a portable fan that attaches to your collar or waist.

It could even keep you away from friends when you're smelling bad by linking to your social network and finding out if any of your friends are nearby.

How silly. If you don’t want to smell bad, eat healthy foods! Bathe regularly! And also…let us let go of being so squeamish about the fact that human bodies have smells.
