CHICAGO — The Chicago Blackhawks topped the Pittsburgh Penguins, 2-1, in a shootout Sunday from the United Center.
Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford tallied 36 saves for the Blackhawks. Niklas Hjalmarsson scored a goal for the Hawks in regulation, while Nick Spaling had one for the Penguins.
The Blackhawks’ Patrick Sharp, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews all scored for Chicago in the shootout after neither team scored in overtime.
The Blackhawks improve their record to 57-35-18. The team will play longtime rival the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday.
