SAN FRANCISCO — A motorcyclist’s helmet cam shows how he walked away after he was hit by a car.

The video from the camera starts with him stopped at a red light, at a busy intersection in San Francisco.

The light turns green, and the motorcycle goes.

About a second later, a car comes from the left and hits him.

But the rider manages to flip and land on his feet.

That perspective is captured on the helmet cam.

A piece of his motorcycle is seen on the ground.

While the rider staggers around, you can see that his bike winds up next to a curb.

He then goes to a street corner and sits down.

He’s surrounded by witnesses including one that appears to be a medical worker.

The rider says he’s a little stiff, but he didn’t get injured.

As a biker myself, I will say he was obviously itching to take off fast from the light from all the side to side glances at the stop lights to see when they would change. Too bad he didn’t make sure some idiot wasn’t going to do exactly what that idiot did do. Instead of trying to impress people with his “fast” Italian motorcycle, he should impress people with intelligent driving skills.
