CPS closed Monday due to weather

CPS schools closed Monday

Chicago Public Schools have canceled class for Monday, February 2nd.

While classes are canceled, CPS buildings will stay open and will accept students who arrive on time – although CPS teachers are not expected.

Administrators, engineers and custodians will report to work.

Chicago Public Schools released a statement saying schools will be closed tomorrow.

The statement reads in part: “Chicago Public Schools is cancelling classes on Monday, February 2, due to a slow-moving blizzard and lake effect snow that continues to impact Chicago and presents a danger to children traveling to and from schools.”
