Blizzard blankets city of Chicago

February began with a bang for the Chicago area Sunday.

Snow began falling Saturday night and has yet to stop. The area could experience more than 12 straight hours of blizzard conditions – strong winds, heavy snow, low visibility and very difficult, possibly dangerous travel, the agency said.
350 plows and salt spreaders were deployed.
