A Winter Storm Warning has been issued and the Chicagoland area could see a foot of snow.  Mayor Emanuel assured residents that the city is prepared for the snow.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel was briefed by Streets & Sanitation Commissioner Charles Williams this afternoon at the Office of Emergency Management.

Williams says there will be 335 pieces of snow equipment deployed tonight - some already out on the streets.

Residents are also getting ready, piling into area grocery stores.  Some getting ready for Super Bowl parties, other picking up the staples - milk, bread and eggs, in case they find themselves snowed-in.
