TAMPA — A U.S. Airman gave his two oldest children the shock of their lives at a Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game.

According to CBS Sports, Master Sergeant Chris Mckeen’s two children, Katelyn and C.J., were brought on the ice to participate in one of the between-period games.

After explaining the game’s impossible rules, host Greg Wolf told the siblings to turn around. That’s when their father came out through the bench. Katelyn dropped to her knees, then ran into her fathers arms.

Mckeen held his children in a long embrace, clearly overjoyed and relieved to finally be home with his family.

Mckeen has served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and has been deployed multiple times.
