Logan Square fire knocks out Comcast service for 4,000

CHICAGO — A fire in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood knocked out cable and internet service for 4,000 Comcast customers Thursday night.

It happened at a residential garage at 3640 W. Diversey. Officials say the fire was struck before it had a chance to spread.

Fire officials say there were no injuries, but the garage is a complete loss

Comcast crews are working with the Chicago Fire Department to restore service, a Comcast spokesman said.
