CHICAGO -- Surveillance video has been released from the heist of an ATM at a restaurant in the West Town neighborhood.

A burglar busted into the popular Salerno's Pizzeria early Tuesday, on Grand Avenue.

A motion sensor was broken, but not the surveillance cameras.

The thief spent almost a half-hour trying to break into the safe, but couldn't do it.

The only thing he wound up hauling off was the ATM, which could contain $4,000 - 5,000.
