CULVER CITY, Calif. — A recent contestant on the game show “Wheel of Fortune” appeared to forget how to play the game.

According to society and culture website UpRoxx, the contestant, James Trahan, inexplicably kept guessing the wrong answer during Friday night’s episode.

The board read “THE P_ _ NTED DESERT,” and the contestant before him guessed “The Pointed Desert,” only to be told that was incorrect.

But that didn’t seem to convince Trahan.

When it was his turn, he decided to guess the same answer. Host Pat Sajak, again, said that was the wrong answer, but that he still had more time.

So with his precious time running out, Trahan guessed the same thing again.

A confused Sajak told the contestant, “It’s not ‘The Pointed Desert,’ no matter how many times you say it.”

According to UpRoxx, Trahan still ended up going home with $1,000.
