In potentially the city's most significant snowfall in weeks, Chicagoland could see up to about 3 inches of snow Sunday.

The system driving the snow forecast is hardly a monster storm, but in a season which has seen roughly 1/3 the snow which fell last year (14.8″ vs. 45.4″at O’Hare a year ago), a fresh cover of snow garners more attention than in a year when snow is plentiful.

Snow could begin falling on the Chicago area in Sunday’s pre-dawn and persist a good part of Sunday, but is expected to wind down by the end of the day.

And Hammernick is predicting a dusting to 1.5 inches on Sunday morning. I predict another swing and a MISS by Tom Skilling, who seems to think he is never wrong. This guy, with his fake homespun act is really getting old. Hang it up Tom. You’re done! I’ll bet you couldn’t accurately predict yesterdays weather.
