Concerning the International School of Comics story. The statement that it is the only school of its type in the United States is false (unless you are stating a franchise) The Joe Kubert School in Dover NJ has been turning out students into the industry from the late 70’s. So now some of the biggest names in the business today are Kubert Alumni. The school always has teachers with years of experience and from all aspects of the industry.
The Curriculum also allows for the fact that many students find their way into other methods or materials than just comic book illustration. Every course is either art or design centered.
