Illinois issued more than 91K concealed-carry permits in 2014

It's been one year since the state of Illinois began issuing concealed-carry permits and the Illinois State Police say more than 91,000 permits were issued during that time.
The Chicago-area leads the state with the highest number of permits.
Nearly 24,000 Cook County residents have been issued permits to carry a gun in public.

There were more than 6,000 issued in Will County and about 5,500 in DuPage County.
State officials denied more than 2,300 applications for a permit, and 175 permits were revoked after they were granted.
