Two masked thieves rob Subway restaurant on North Side

CHICAGO – Police are investigating an overnight robbery at a Subway restaurant on the North Side.

An employee says two masked robbers forced themselves into the Subway on the 1700th block of North Clybourn around 1:30 a.m., and demanded money.

It is unsure whether the attackers were men or women.

The robbers assaulted the employee, took money from the cash register and the employee’s personal belongings.

The manager of the restaurant was also attacked and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he is listed in fair condition.
