Police search for driver in Morton Grove hit-and-run

MORTON GROVE, Ill. -- Police are trying to come up with the profile of a vehicle involved in a Morton Grove hit-and-run.

Monday saw an active scene around 9 p.m. as authorities continued to investigate late into the night.

The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. Monday. A pedestrian was struck at Harlem and Sherman in Morton Grove . Police say they're looking for a vehicle with severe front-end damage, with most likely blood on it as well.

The pedestrian was transported to Lutheran General Hospital's trauma unit with very serious injuries.
