What are the odds? Ahead of Monday night's college football championship, fans of The Ohio State University are cheering on their team at McGee's Tavern and Grille, pretty much right next door to where Oregon fans are gathering at Homeslice restaurant in Lincoln Park.
CTA tracks separate the two establishments near Webster and Sheffield. McGee's has been there for almost thirty years. The owner says it became a Buckeye bar because his girlfriend is an alum. The owners of Homeslice are from Oregon.
Fans on both sides are gearing up for the historic game. This is the first time the championship has been decided through the College Football Playoff.
