Walmart employee fatally shot outside Bedford Park store

BEDFORD PARK, Ill. –An employee of Walmart in Bedford Park was shot to death in a car in the store’s parking lot.

It happened around 4 p.m. Thursday at the Walmart at 70th and South Cicero Avenue.

Police arrived to find the body in the front seat of a vehicle.

Witnesses say they saw a man in dark clothing running away.

Investigators do not know they killer’s motive. The victim hasn’t been publicly identified yet.

A Walmart spokesperson released the following statement Thursday night:

“We’re deeply saddened that one of our Walmart family members lost his life today.  We’re still learning more about this horrible incident and assisting law enforcement however we can. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.”

        It’s not that hard to figure out. I thought the same thing; an angry customer who got mad at one of the cashiers. Either that or it’s something more personal and the murderer knew the employee and wanted revenge of some sort for some personal reasons. But we can never be too sure so we should not speculate.
        I do pray for the repose of his soul whomever he was. May perpetual light shine upon him and may his soul through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
        And may God have mercy on the shooter. He really needs it.
