PETERSBURG, Fla.  — Police say a 25-year-old Tampa man faces a first-degree murder charge after throwing his 5-year-old daughter off a bridge.

John Jonchuck Jr. was arrested early Thursday after a St. Petersburg police officer saw him throw the child into Tampa Bay. Police say rescuers pulled Phoebe Jonchuk from the water, but she died shortly before 3 a.m.

The officer was heading home around midnight when he saw a speeding car and tried to pull it over.

Police say Jonchuck stopped on a bridge on the approach to the Sunshine Skyway and threw the child over the rail. He returned to his car, drove south and was arrested about 30 minutes later in Manatee County.

He faces additional charges, including aggravated assault with a motor vehicle on a law enforcement officer.

We could save this country much money and deter violent crimes that involve death so easily. An eye for an eye. Throw this guy off a bridge to his death.

Somewhere in the background I’ll bet there is a woman who drove him to do it.
Not making an excuse for him, though. Hang him high.

What is wrong with people!?! I can’t even wrap my mind around some of these murders that parents are committing. Where did the breakdown of the family and innocence of our kids disappear to?

Nobody or no one could cause someone to hurt their chikd. That child did not ask to be born. There are no excuses for things like this. I don’t care who your mad at or what they did. The child is innocent
