Another former cast member of the legendary ‘Cosby Show’ is coming to the defense of Bill Cosby after months of allegations of sex abuse.

Phylicia Rashad, who played the embattled comedian's wife on the popular sitcom, has broken her silence about the 24 women who have accused Cosby of rape.

In an interview, Rashad said, “Forget these women. What you’re seeing is the destruction of a legacy. And I think it’s orchestrated. I don’t know why or who’s doing it, but it’s the legacy. And it’s a legacy that is so important to the culture.”

Rashad says she sees the controversy as part of a larger plot.

“Someone is determined to keep Bill Cosby off TV,” she said. “And it’s worked. All his contracts have been canceled.”

Cosby has been accused of harassing, drugging and sexually assaulting multiple women.

No charges have been filed against Cosby.

According to phylicia over 25 Women decided and conspired all at once to destroy bill’s legacy, I am curious just how much the loss of her residual income from their show was really more of an influence for her to come to bill’s defense!

I find these kinds of conspiracy theories disturbing and I’m tired of how often the black community tries to use them to explain deviant behavior. We heard the same kinds of things during the Ferguson, MO nonsense. “They must be lying to try and keep US down! They rigged the evidence! These 25 woman are being directed by someone to bring Bill down!” Please. Just admit that some people do bad things and they deserve to be punished and/or ostracized.

Its odd that all these women came out so many years later and all around the same time. Maybe it is true that once one victim came out, they all decided to share…..but the alleged victims all had aspiring dreams to be famous…they apparently were willing to keep their mouths shut, bury what happened…..sacraficed protecting other possible women….by not filing a crime police report…in order to protect their careers from being ruined- Not one police report……did any of the victims tell anyone they knew back then, when it happened… like friends or family in order to corroborate their claims now? So what can be done now…statute of limitations have likely run out…..and it is their words against his…no physical evidence or witnesses. And IF it is true, how many victims could have been saved had maybe 1 or 2 came forward when it happened… canot victim him on their words alone.

Of course he did come on to the kids or Rashad. His MO was total different. Went for single 20 year old models and girls trying to make it in showbiz. Girls that would be scared to admit it because they felt they were probably going to lose their shot in Hollywood. He’s never really denied it. Only says things like “I don’t talk about it” and “its ridiculous that its an issue decades later”. Wouldn’t he be on TV the following day saying he was innocent and defending himself instead of resigning from various boards. Twenty five women all with a variety of stories but a common way he did it. The odds are infinite that a conspiracy of that number would all start the”Bill Cosby Haters Club”. Sorry Mrs. Huxtabell, pervert Billy cost you millions in royalties. Don’t defend what you don’t know. Too common in black communities. Billy needed to keep his pants up while criticizing black community for sagging theirs.

Nobody cancelled Woody Allen for having sex with a minor, which was he & his wife’s adopted daughter. Then he married her so she could not testify against him. He has continue to work and nothing was done or say about his immortal acts.

She will defend him, but he won’t defend himself..? Ihe innocent speak for themselves, because they have nothing to hide, the guilty skirt around hoping folks will forget about them and blame others for their own mistakes..\

Well-respected people are suddenly accused of horrific crimes. Those who stand up and defend them are pilloried and harassed themselves. This is either the plot of The Crucible or it is the Bill Cosby saga.

Unfortunately Ms Tasha , people who are close to tge situation are always the last to know. If it were only a small few it could be a possibility. But with 25 women claiming similar it’s hard to push it aside. This is coming from someone who would have never believed Mr Cosby could have done this. But we have to look at the times we are living in, and the prominent people who have recently been exposed for similar behavior we never thought possible.

I didn’t hear her say that he didn’t do it. She just wants us to overlook the fact that a man who was wholesome on television could have been a monster off camera.
