At least one person is dead after a home exploded and burst into flames in north suburban Mundelein Friday.

More than 80 firefighters from more than a dozen surrounding communities were on hand to battle the fire in the 900 block of Killarney Pass Drive just before noon.

Fire investigators say the fire actually started in a garage- and then spread to the home.

Neighbors say several explosions rocked the neighborhood.
