Firefighters battling 2 alarm fire in Old Town

Dozens of Chicago firefighters are on the scene of a fire in the city’s Old Town neighborhood.

Smoke and flames could be seen coming from a building in the 15 hundred block of North LaSalle.

Fire officials called for a second alarm and at least 6 ambulances after arriving on the scene.

The fire was on the 19th floor of a 24 story building.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out by around 5:10pm.

Primary and secondary searches of the building found no injuries.

It’s not clear what started the fire.
