After spending the past year in and out of the hospital, a 17-year-old Wisconsin girl got an incredible Christmas surprise from her dad.
The big surprise wasn’t only the gift — but how he delivered it.
In November, Audra Daniloff was pulled over by a police officer for rolling through a stop sign. But it was actually a set-up.
“I got some good news and some bad news for you, okay?” said the officer. “The bad news, first I am giving you two tickets. But they are not the type of tickets you think. One is a plane ticket to New York. The other is a concert ticket for your favorite band.”
Her reaction to the news is priceless, and it was all caught on camera.
According to WITI, Audra was diagnosed with a rare condition called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, or HLH. It attacked her immune system and put her in the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for 58 days. She’s been back countless times for treatment.
But Audra’s dad Marc tells WITI his daughter is on the mend — and plans to attend Edgewood College in Madison, Wis., next year. She’ll be studying to be a child life specialist.
