Sony Pictures is telling media outlets to delete information obtained from the massive cyber break-in last month.

Sony is warning media companies they may be held liable for damages if the contents of hacked e-mails and files are published.

The group claiming to be behind the hack, known as “Guardians of Peace”, posted a message online promising a “Christmas gift” soon, and that it will “put Sony Pictures into the worst state.”

Experts believe the group has ties to North Korea since it threatened to attack Sony unless it pulls the comedy movie, “The Interview.”
