Tony's Tips:

If buying a fresh Christmas tree, make sure the tree stand is big or wide enough for the tree.

If you like to keep your tree up a long time, consider a Fraser fir, Concolor, Noble Fir or a Nordmann Fir.

Don’t leave poinsettia plants out in the cold – they’re tropical plants.

Don’t put poinsettias by an exterior door or by a radiator or heating vent.

For outdoor containers, drop in plastic liners to prevent ceramic, concrete or terra cotta containers from cracking during temperature swings.
