Fire struck out at Sheridan high rise

A fire caused the evacuation of a 12-story building at 5858 Sheridan Road Monday morning.

The fire started on the third floor. Responders were able to strike the fire out, and residents were eventually able to go back in. There were no injuries related to the incident.

The cleanup and investigation caused a closure of that portion of Sheridan road Monday morning.
