Police in Valparaiso, Ind., say they arrested 45 people at a large underage drinking party early Saturday morning.
The arrests came after police responded to a report of a large, loud party in the 1100 Block of Lind Ln. in Valparaiso. There they found minors consuming alcoholic beverages in and around the house.
After they were denied entrance by the renters of the house, police obtained a search warrant. Upon entering, police found more than 100 people inside, many hiding in various areas of the house, including the attic.
Police arrested a total of 45 people. 43 were charged with Minor Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage, while two 17-year-old girls were arrested and later released to their parents.
“Numerous” individuals who were over 21 or tested negative for alcohol were released at the scene, police said.
