Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg says he's debating whether to add a "dislike" button to the social network.

The option wouldn't be for the purpose of disagreeing with a post, but rather to express empathy.

Zuckerberg said users struggle with whether to "like" a post when users post unhappy things, such as a death in the family or a personal struggle.

He's not rushing into it, though. He says he will continue to take a measured approach.

The Facebook CEO made the comments during an hour-long question-and-answer session at the company's headquarters.
