An eighth-grade girl in Oklahoma has disappeared following a school basketball game, KFOR in Oklahoma City, Okla. reports.

The station reported Wednesday that the search is on for Kylie Jones, a player on the Ponca City (Okla.) Ladycat basketball team.

KFOR reported that, according to school district officials, the girl had a road game with her team Tuesday night in Sand Springs, Okla.

Coaches for the girl’s team took a head count following the game, and all players were present. They then took a second head count, and all were still reported present.

But after a third head count, they noticed Jones was missing, according to the report.

According to KTUL in Tulsa, Okla., the police will not issue an Amber Alert because it does not appear the girl was abducted against her will.

A school district official said, “The first concern of the school district is Kylie’s safe return, and we join with her family in praying for her safe return.”

According to  multiple news outlets, a report has been entered into the National Crime Information Center, school district officials said.

Police in Sand Springs, Okla. are urging anyone who may know Jones’s whereabouts to contact them at 918-245-8777. Police in Ponca City, Okla. are doing the same, at 580-767-0370.
