A convicted sex offender won $3 million dollars in the Florida lottery over the weekend.
WKMG reports Timothy Poole won the money on a scratch-off ticket he bought at a 7-Eleven.
Poole is a convicted sexual predator who served three years in prison for a crime involving a 9-year-old boy.
Poole pleaded guilty to attempted sexual battery.
Poole, who has had no other legal troubles since being released from prison in 2006, insists he is innocent, WKMG reports.
Florida law does not allow the lottery to withhold payments from winners based on their criminal records, according to spokeswoman.
