A dolphin calf born just yesterday at Brookfield Zoo has died.
Zoo officials say it appeared to be a normal birth and that they won't know the official cause of death until after an autopsy is conducted.
Dolphin infant survival rates are about 75 percent in the wild and 86 percent in zoos and aquariums.
The baby boy was the 11-year-old mother's first child. She will be closely monitored for the next few days while she stays with her sister.
