Two children in Mayville, Wis., just wanted to let Santa Claus know what they want for Christmas.
But, the way they went about it may have landed them on the "naughty list."
Blake and Brody Becker called 911 and asked police to put the big man on the phone.
The 3- and 6-year-old boys planned to ask for trucks and a dirt bike, but what they got instead was a police officer at their front door.
"Never have I heard of a 911 call trying to reach Santa. The unfortunate thing is the North Pole is out of our jurisdiction," said Mayville Police Chief Christopher MacNeill.
Police jokingly said they released the boys early for good behavior, then gave them a tour of the police station.
