Meet Brook Pittman. She's four years-old and lives in McHenry County.
Recently, she was at an event at her church where she learned about kids all around the world who were in need. On the drive home, she told her mother Resa that she wanted to help out.
Completely on her own, Brook came up with the idea to draw and paint dozens of pictures representing areas around the world home to kids she wanted to help. She then set up an art show at her church (her father Jeff Pittman is the campus pastor at The Chapel in McHenry) - she called it the 500 Kids, 500 Dreams Show.
Brook sold nearly 60 pictures that day, raising nearly $800 for kids in need. You can see some of her thank you video she posted on her Mom's Facebook page in the video above.
