Quake shakes Nagano

At least 37 homes were destroyed and 39 people were injured after an earthquake struck the mountainous region near Nagano in central Japan Saturday morning.

Nagano was the site of the 1998 Winter Olympics.

The earthquake struck just after 10 p.m. Japan time.

It was measured at a magnitude of 6.7.

No deaths have been reported, but several landslides and aftershocks have been reported in the region.
