A father is charged in the brutal beating death of his 11-month-old daughter.

The body of Serenity Rose was found in a home in Kenosha Tuesday night.

The girl’s father Russell Rose was arrested after threatening to blow up the building and setting several small fires.

A neighbor called police when he heard a baby crying and calls for help.

The child’s mother also had cuts and bruises on her face.

Both were taken to the hospital where Serenity was pronounced dead.

Neighbors have set up a small memorial near the home to remember the little girl.

Police say Russell rose has a long criminal record.

Murder and arson charges are pending.
