Arlington Heights police search for suspect who attacked jogging woman

Arlington Heights police have a warning for the public Saturday night after a woman who was jogging in a popular park was attacked.

The woman was running alone near the intersection of Valley Lane and Windsor Drive near Lake Arlington Friday evening.

Police say a man dressed in dark clothes started to jog next to her, trying start a conversation.

The woman ignored him, but he grabbed her by the waist and spun her around.

She was eventually able to break free.

Authorities are investigating three similar incidents in the area.

In this most recent case, police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man, about six feet tall and 35 years old.

Police have asked the public to not walk or run in the area alone at night.
