A controversial program used on AT&T phones appears to have ended.

The year long program added hidden, undeletable tracking numbers onto all smartphone web traffic.. also know as super cookies.

News site, ProPublic reported yesterday the company has ended that practice.

Verizon Wireless says it still uses this type of tracking.

However, there's no evidence Sprint or T-Mobile uses super cookies to track phone users.
