Police are asking for the public’s help to find two gunmen who shot into a home in Milwaukee, killing a five-year-old girl.

Laylah Peterson was sitting on her grandfather’s lap last Thursday, when a bullet came through a window and hit her in the head.

Hundreds of family and neighbors attended a vigil Sunday night outside the home where Laylah was shot.

They asked anyone with information to please come forward.

Her father thanked the community for supporting the family.

Investigators have said they don’t believe anyone in the home was being targeted.

The girl’s heart was donated to another child.

Her funeral is planned for Wednesday.
