Candidates for Illinois State Treasurer are still waiting for a winner to be announced.

The vote count is still too close to call between republican tom cross and democrat Mike Frerichs.

Cross has been ahead, but that lead isn't by much.

Nearly 30-thousand votes in cook county still need to counted.

However, considering the close race, a recount is possible.

Tom Cross walked up to me, offered his hand, and said he was protecting my gun rights. No, Tom, what you really said to me was “I don’t care what YOU want, THIS is what I’m doing – protecting the NRA’s income.” Let’s hope he ends up losing and gets a job where he belongs… with the NRA making excuses for all the children killed by guns.
