Teen injured after shot by police on South Side

Chicago police officers shot a teenager who shot at them.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday near 51st and Wood on the city's South Side.

Officers were making a traffic stop when they saw two people shooting at each other from across the street.

When the officers intervened, they say 17-year-old Tykwan Davis turned and fired two shots at them.

He missed, but they did not.

Davis is at Stronger Hospital.

The second man ran away.
