When I was growing up , abortion, homosexuality and anti-war speech could never be mention in Catholic Church sermons for fear of losing tax status. Couldn’t politicize the pulpit. Yet Afro-American places of worship are scheduled campaign stops. What gives ? Why are they allowed a reprieve during election season.

They speak about those things but not about the issues that really matter. For instance I listened to this radio show “Chicago Speaks by Ty Walker” on Sunday morning and everyone spoke about Corey Brooks endorsing Rauner. No one mentioned the state’s economy, the low credit rating, the third most crooked state in the nation and nothing about our atrocious pension mess. I consider these callers highly uneducated. I bet You none of them know the impact of a bad credit rating on the State future projects. They don’t know what that is. They don’t know we are financially the worst State in the nation. They don’t know that but ask these callers about the WIC program, about a link card, about a free phone and They know everything about those programs. They are afraid to lose those benefits under Rauner.
