In a bold role reversal, a citizen pulled over a Washington sheriff’s deputy who driving an unmarked patrol car.

Self-proclaimed constitution activist Gavin Seim posted on his website that he waved the officer down. He then asked the officer for his ID and told him it’s against the law to pull over the public using an unmarked vehicle.

The officer seems surprised at what Seim has done and even smiles.

Seim tells him he is “in violation of Washington state law…and citizens have the right to hold officers accountable.”

After Seim’s explanation, the sheriff responds: “That’s good to know.”

Seim eventually lets the officer go, telling him he won’t write him up this time.
