CHA’s wait list lottery opens

Registration begins today for the Chicago Housing Authority wait list lottery.

The CHA says applicants can sign up for any of three different lotteries on one registration form.

The lotteries include family public housing property rental assistance, and housing choice vouchers — that’s the program through which low income families can rent private market housing.

You can register online at www.thechawaitlist.org or call (312) 971-7700

Registration runs from today through Nov. 24.

@JB, Welfare and all the other government programs out are not handouts it’s called a safety net for everyone including you. You should be careful for what you say and be weary of how you treat others because you just never know when you might need a quote unquote “handout”. Remember the Lord do everything for a reason, he gives and he takes away. I bet you have had some form of government assistance in your lifetime. Times are hard and they are getting harder so remember you are just one paycheck away from needing a handout yourself. Good luck on a attitude change!
