Police in Cleburne, Texas have a video that shows an officer firing three shots at a seven-month-old pit bull wagging his tail, KDAF reports.

“Why? I just don’t understand why,” owner Amanda Henderson said.

She also wants to know why it sounds like the officer is making kiss noises right before he killed Maximus.

“Every shot makes me go (cringes) and you can even hear him [yelp.]”

Now, that officer is on paid administrative leave, perhaps because of all the death threats he’s been receiving on social media.

“Some threats that indicate that his family may not be safe and we take that extremely seriously. Again, we want to reiterate we`re not going to tolerate vigilantism in Cleburne,” Cleburne Mayor Scott Cain said.

It all started with a 911 call from a woman saying she was trapped in her car by three dogs. When the cop showed up, his body cam recorded him petting one of the dogs.

“I haven’t witnessed any aggressive behavior,” he said on his walkie-talkie.

But did something change? Minutes later, three shots rang out.

Neighbor Tatiana Martinez says she was there that day. “They told us that the dog was dead in front of the kids. Animal control said that the cop had reported that Max had charged at him.”

Charging? According to the video, it looks like Max was wagging his tail.

“In the video you don`t see any aggressive action from our dogs. We don’t raise our pets that way,” Henderson said.

Henderson and her husband say they’re considering a lawsuit.

The city is bringing in the Texas Rangers to investigate this disturbing canine case.

I am sad to hear this. I feel sorry for the whole family on what they are going through. I hope that the officer involved in this incident should be fired. I hope that the family of the dog that was killed sued the police department for all of its worth.

Maybe the dog had its paws up and was surrendering. In some parts of the country that’s considered “charging an officer” and lethal force is justified.
Now let me add some stupid rant about the high price of living in NY City and blame it on Obama…

Get a good personal injury lawyer, they love cases like this. Don’t sue the city, go after the cop. Ask for a jury trial and take everything he owns. Personal injury lawyers only get paid if they win. He must have liability insurance, make them pay. Anyone who does this should be punished to the max and made an example of, he’s a sociopath. He’s like that guy who shot the kids because he said they were playing their music too loud.

Why is it that Bully owners never confine their animals to responsibility their own property and then never assume any responsibility for the consequences If the dogs were under the owner’s control maybe some woman wouldn’t have had to call 911 and the dog would still be alive.

I HATE THAT COPS THINK PITBULLS ARE BAD DOGS THEY ARE NOT. THEY JUST WANT TO SHOOT THEM. IT HURTS ME TO SEE THIS! I HAD A RED NOSE PIT AND SHE WAS A LOVING DOG. HOPE THEY CHARGE THE COP OR DO SOMETHING.
