When baby Adilynn Renee was born prematurely, she weighed less than a pound and was about the size of a cell phone.
The North Carolina infant is now four months old and weights four pounds, but WGHP reports she’s in serious trouble.
Last month, Adilynn was moved from Forsyth Medical Center to Brenner Children’s Hospital. She’s had pneumonia twice and a blood infection, and is now on life support.
“Every little step that she makes is a huge accomplishment,” Adilynn’s mom Chelsea Gregory told WGHP. “Even turning her oxygen down 1 percent. I’m just blessed with it. I’ll take it.”
Adilynn’s mom is asking for prayers from anyone and everyone. She says faith has gotten them this far and that they’re going to continue trusting the power of prayer.
“I know she’s fought so hard for her mommy and daddy and we are gonna fight for her,” Gregory said.
According to WGHP, Adilynn was one of the smallest babies ever born at Forsyth Medical Center.
