A Cook County corrections officer was arrested and accused of trying to smuggle marijuana into the jail.
The guard and three inmates are among seven charged.
The alleged plot to smuggle pot also included other contraband like alcohol and cigarettes.
A federal indictment claims 29-year-old Jason Marek hid three ounces of marijuana in two sandwiches.
The marijuana was supposedly going to be sold to inmates.
Marek allegedly took a $200 dollar bribe.
A Chicago police dispatcher is also facing federal charges in the case for helping inmates contact Marek at home.
