Former president Bill Clinton made an appearance in Chicago today on behalf of Senator Dick Durbin and Gov Pat Quinn.

Clinton spoke at an event at a South Side manufacturing plant.

In his speech he talked about the state’s future saying "a vote for Quinn is a vote for the future."

The arrival comes one day after Quinn and republican challenger Bruce Rauner debated for the final time.

Rauner campaigned downstate today, and released a new ad touting endorsements from newspapers across the state-- including the Tribune and Sun-Times.
