A fight broke out at a local Baltimore high school, but it wasn’t just the students. The fight was between a student and a teacher and there’s cell phone video to prove it.

The video is now circulating through the halls of Carver High School in west Baltimore.

The teacher in the video is the one wearing a gray top and black pants. You can hear her threaten to kill the girl, who is a 17-year-old senior.

Another student tries to break the two up, but they continue fighting.

School officials say a verbal exchange between the two led to a physical altercation

The student’s family admits the girl ‘probably’ threw a book at the teacher, and has been involved in previous fights.

As a current teacher in the area of middle grades, I can completely understand the reaction of the the teacher. Previous videos show that the book in the hallway was the third item thrown her way. Parents and spectators who continuously give their opinions on what goes on tend to forget that teachers are people too. We have feelings, emotions and reflexes just like anyone else. Incan almost assure half of the people arguing the teacher is wrong would have reacted in the same manner. Her family has absolutely NOTHING to say in this manner. Their opinions are null and void after sending this child to school without any respect for authority.

I completely agree. She can be rude and disrespectful, she can get a beat down. I’m not even a teacher, I am a parent and if my child wants to act like that child in the video, then he should get beat up the same way.

Incidents like these are occurring all too often. As these are minor students, the responsibility falls squarely on the parents. After all, who provided theses phones for them. Minors see their parents with cell phones and the importance they place upon the device. Kids reflect what their adult parents and peers do. So it’s no surprise that you see students arguing and fighting over a freakin cell phone–so sad!
