Bail is set at $2 million for a South Shore man accused of opening fire with an assault rifle on a CTA blue line train, striking the train car five times.

However, prosecutors say he offered no motive for the shooting.

Lorenzo Jones, 25, is said to have used a Hi Point .45 caliber rifle and shot the train car on the platform at South Lasalle and West Van Buren streets Thursday.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Prosecutors say the rifle was stolen from Indiana.

A motive for the shooting has not been named.
